Wednesday, November 28

– Craving some beach time? Jax Fray is giving you what you really want this post-holiday week – a chance to play sand volleyball while we still have semi-warm weather! At 6:30pm, the party starts at South Beach park, so grab your pals and load up the cooler.

– If you’re is in search of a new job, specifically in the boating industry, Jacksonville Marine is hosting a job fair at 6:30. So whether you’re looking for new employment or just looking to network…or just bored, try out this job fair.

Friends Trivia at Hoptinger – At Hoptinger in Five Points, bring your squad for their Friends-themed trivia night at 8pm. It may seem annoying to purchase a ticket, but first place is $300! So brush up your Friends facts and get ready to ball out.

Bay County Christmas Tree Lighting – Every year, we light up the Bay County Christmas tree! At 4:30pm, get into the spirit for a tree lighting, Christmas music by the Mosley High School choir and band, hot cocoa and cookies, and Santa Claus passing out toys that were collected as a toy drive!

Harlem Globetrotters – Have you ever seen the Harlem Globetrotters play ball?! Not only is it amazing, but also super funny. Friday at 7pm, the show is going down at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena, so secure your seat now for a good time.

Vintage Market Days of JacksonvilleVintage Market Days is hosting their next Merry & Bright event at the Clay County Fairgrounds allllll day! Come out for some early Christmas gift shopping with over 100 of the most talented vendors from Florida as well as across the country.

Saturday, December 1

The Big Ticket – At Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, who wants to enjoy some throwback tunes with Weezer? How about Foster the People? How about AJR? You don’t? Oh…okay, well this is awkward…Well, if you DO want to see them, The Big Ticket starts at 5:20pm. Tickets aren’t too shabby so hop on it!

Void’s Holiday Gift Guide Pop Up – We all like donuts, coffee, and beer. So we all love Mini Bar. BUT it’s even better when Void will be there with their annual Gift Guide! With vendors like Slide into Stoke and Rainbow Shades, come support small businesses and find your family a nice Christmas gift. 8am to noon, be there or be square.

Jags vs. Colts – Sunday at 1pm, our beloved Jags take on the Colts at the TIAA Bank Field. Get a ticket and all of your best friends. And remember, as always, LET’S GO JAGS.

Snowman & Ornament Workshops – With 2 shapes to choose from, come into Burnt Glassworks and try your hand at glassblowing to make a one-of-a-kind glass ornament! For only $35, you can be a part of this fun class. The only piece of advice I can offer is to set an appointment ahead of time, so none of your friends get rejected the door…

Monday, December 3

Monday Night Funk Jam at 1904 Music Hall – With a free fireball shot for anyone that performs, the Funk Jam is hosted by some of the city’s best players and has some heavy hitters stopping through regularly. Come out at 10pm and watch people play something awesome (or play yourself!).

Tuesday, December 4

Let’s Shag Lessons – At River City Brewing Company every Tuesday, they are throwing down with some dope Shag lessons at 7pm. The “Carolina Shag” is a partner dance done primarily to beach music, so it’s a perfect fit for any Jacksonvillian willing to learn!

Lantern Workshop – Want to create your own beacon of light for a mere $20? Get yourself a beer at Wicked Barley and join the Jacksonville Magazine team to build and design paper lanterns at 6pm. If you get yourself a ticket, it includes all the supplies AND two complimentary beers! Don’t miss out.

Basketball, music, Christmas tree lightings, dance lessons…How could you possibly be bored in Jacksonville?
