– We all love Deep Purple. Judas Priest…we all mostly love him, but mostly love him more because he is with Deep Purple. At 7 PM, Daily’s Place is hosting the show! Bring your friends, buy some beer, and rock out.

Thursday, September 13

– Okay, okay. We all know Cowford Chophouse is the shit. Well, to make them even better, they’re hosting a rooftop bar party and cocktail mixer at 5:30 PM for only $15. They’ll also have some live entertainment and a giveaway! Great event for a social buzz.

– I’m somewhere on a beach, sippin’ something strong…Well, take a break from Jax Beach and go see Dierks Bentley as his Mountain High tour rolls into town! 7 PM at Daily’s Place – it’s going to be LIT.

Friday, September 14

– Record composer Cory Driscoll began writing an album around the time of Hurricane Matthew about Florida’s sunny beauty & crazy storm devastation. Finished up around the time of Irma, “Tropical Depression” is for sale at the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens this Friday at 7! Talk about DEEP.

– At 8 PM, the 5 & Dime Theater has decided to dedicate their September Cabaret into a deeper dive of Stephen Sondheim. New York Times once described him as “the best-known artist in the American musical theater”, so come sing along Friday night!

Saturday, September 15

– Starting bright and early at 8:30 AM on the south side of Jax Beach Pier, the 20th annual Sisters of the Sea Surf competition will start shredding the gnar. They’ll have shortboard, longboard, novice, and tandem heats! Come bronze while you watch!

– With the Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center opening at 11 AM, friends, family, & neighbors are invited for free! There will be food trucks like the Butt Hutt Smokehouse and Big Island Bowls, as well as free parking. Let’s celebrate the quest to find a cure!

Sunday, September 16

– If you feel any type of anger about the result of last year’s AFC championship game, come watch the Jags redeem themselves on Sunday against Brady and the Pats. Tickets have SERIOUSLY skyrocketed but this is the game of the year! At 4:25 PM, it all goes down at the TIAA Bank Field.

Kombucha Workshop – For anyone that is on the Kombucha trend train, there is a Kombucha Workshop from 12-1:30 PM at Yoga Den Avondale. Not only are there several health benefits to drinking Kombucha, but that stuff also tastes amazing!! Learn how to make it all for only $35.

Monday, September 17

– Any actresses out there looking for a big break? At 6:30 PM at Theatre Jacksonville, auditions will be held for 4 main female character roles in Savannah Sipping Society! Directed by Jason Collins, this show is a delightful comedy all about 4 Southern women escaping their routine lives. They also need volunteers, if you love theater!

 – Michael Scott liked his improv class, so who’s to say you won’t? Mad Cowford Improv Comedy Classes promote meeting new people and strengthening your improv skills! No experience is required and classes run 8 weeks long! So be spontaneous and sign up.

Tuesday, September 18

– Dahlia’s Pour House will be holding a Funky Buddha tap handle design contest for $20! Contestants get a blank tap handle, paint, and supplies, AND a free Funky Buddha beer (to inspire them, duh). Participate or watch, but just know it will be a good time.

 – The Sunshine Travel Club is holding a meeting to talk about their upcoming travels and recruit members! Membership is free. You only pay an all-inclusive price for the trips! In their upcoming meeting, they will talk about a trip to the Everglades, where they will embark on an airboat ride (how can you resist?!).
