Throw Back Some Brews and Watch the Big Game at these Local JAX Favorites

We’ve moved on from the Jags’ not-so-good season (to use more appropriate words) and are now amped up to watch the Rams take on the Patriots in Super Bowl LIII. Question is, where is the best place to get in on the action? We all know, on February 3rd, you don’t want to miss the most-watched sporting event in Jax, even if it is not our beloved Jags.

Wicked Barley Brewing

Of all bars in Jacksonville, it seems like Wicked Barley is always the one throwing a party, so, of course, you know the Super Bowl Watch Party is going to be lit. With craft beer, tasty food, and the Super Bowl portrayed on all 8 flat screen TVs, you’ll be sure to have a grand ole time.

#FrayLifeTip: They have ahh-mazing drink specials, too, so they really do have it all.

Scoreboard Sports Bar & Grill

Normally a really chill bar, Scoreboard Sports Bar takes on a whole new persona once the crazed football fans roll in the for the Super Bowl. With a high energy level, drink specials, AND famous burgers, come partake in the Watch Party fun.

Football at Fionn’s

Reserve your spot now at Fionn MacCool’s for the biggest football sunday yet, the Super Bowl! With $10 items on their football-themed menu, happy hour pricing during the whole game, and huge TVs all around, make your way out at 6:30pm.

Doesn’t matter if you’re in Riverside or Jax Beach, Hoptinger is going to be THE fun spot for Super Bowl LIII. Craft beers, amazing soft pretzels, and a ton of other good treats…Gather up your best pals and watch the Rams take on the Patriots in style!

#FrayLifeTip: Of all the beach bars in Jax Beach, this is the go-to for all big sporting events. It should be packed, so get there early to get a good spot.

Bull Tavern

Known for their well-known, delicious smoked pork, Bull Tavern is also going to be throwing a rager Super Bowl Party. Need I say more?! Bull Tavern. 7217 Atlantic Blvd. Be there, or be square.

Dave & Buster’s Big Game Watch Party

You might think to yourself, “I am so not going to Dave & Buster’s for the Super Bowl!” But think again BECAUSE you get a reserved seat in the Sports Lounge and a loaded buffet, just with a basic ticket. You won’t miss any of the action and you will get your money’s worth.

#FrayLifeTip: For only an extra $5, you can add unlimited video play!

Tiki Island Tap House Super Bowl Party

We all know that Tiki Island Tap House has beer and food, but how about alligators? Come for the Super Bowl, stay for the huge gators. Aside from Gator Pond out back, you can also feed the huge catfish, bass, and carp. If you are looking for more than just football, THIS is the spot.

Jacksonville Sports Tavern

Head to Downtown Jax for a little Super Bowl action at Jacksonville Sports Tavern! A tight squeeze inside, but 2 outdoor patios help make up for that, my football friends! This place is super popular and people flock to it for all sporting events, so get there early and get ready for a good time.

Fat Boyz Bar

This roadside bar might seem a bit like a hole in the wall, but that’s what makes it so special! With a super friendly staff and tons of good food, Fat Boyz Bar is a great spot to really get into the Super Bowl pep. So bring a side and come out at 5pm.

For all my disappointed Jags fans, I know we can’t magically get them into the Super Bowl, but we CAN bring the Super Bowl action to Jacksonville at all these great spots. So get your football-loving friends, drink until you are merry, and simply delight in the Super Bowl enthusiasm all around Jax!
