Jacksonville’s Top Turkey Events for Those Who Want to Gobble
So you aren’t JUST excited for turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, wine, pie….Wait, what was I going to say? Oh, right. You aren’t ONLY excited for all of that food, but also all of the Thanksgiving events going down in Jacksonville! You can grab your family, friends, and everyone in between to celebrate like a grateful person giving thanks on Thanksgiving.
Holiday Cocktail Tasting – November 15
Ready to get started a bit early with your holiday celebrations? NOLA MOCA is ready to start it off with a Holiday Cocktail Tasting! They hold this annual event with a tasting of holiday libations and hors d’oeuvres. You can also take home their recipes or book your next holiday party with them. Anyone thirsty and ready to party?
Pete’s Bar Thanksgiving Day Celebration
EVERYONE LOVES THIS. If you are new to Jax or just have never been, go to Pete’s Bar on Thanksgiving!!! With awesome drink specials and a great atmosphere, all Jax citizens spill into the streets of Neptune Beach right outside Pete’s Bar. Whether you’re looking to play pool, make friends, or get cheap drinks, everyone loves this event!
Places to Eat (if you don’t feel like cooking)
Maybe this year you don’t want to cook. Well, that’s fine because there is a whole list of places to eat a Thanksgiving feast in Jacksonville! With specials and great food, make yourself cozy at Seasons 52, Moxie, The Capital Grille, and many more delicious places. I even hear the Ritz-Carlton throws a Thanksgiving feast at noon, so don’t let your tummy grumble.
Tony’s Turkey Trot – November 22
At this 4th Annual Turkey Trot, you can work off all the calories you are about to eat later! At 8 AM sharp, prepare yourself for a fun 5K all around Atlantic Beach. Come on, guys…Start your morning off with some nice beach scenery and exercise. Proceeds go to support those with traumatic brain injuries, so you know you’re running for a great cause!
Run Turkey Run 5K – November 22
Ultimate Racing is hosting the 4th annual Run Turkey Run 5K in St. Augustine at the World Golf Village. Anyone that is taking their Thanksgiving festivities to that area should get themselves amped up for a refreshing morning jog at 8:30 AM! Participants get a custom medal and T-shirt, with fresh fruit provided after the race. How does one say no?!
Donate a Thanksgiving Basket
For anyone looking to help a family in need this Thanksgiving, BEAM is accepting donations! Your Thanksgiving donation can be a box, roasting pan, laundry basket, or any other container that you want to make special and memorable. Contact [email protected] to schedule a drop-off!
