Memorial Day Weekend 2019 is upon us, friends! Now we all know that everyone in Florida basically tries to find a friend with a boat and then they just party all weekend long on that boat. For those of you who, unfortunately, can’t track down a squad with a boat, don’t fret. Jacksonville still has plenty of Memorial Day fun going on all weekend.

May 25 – May 27

Florida Memorial Circuit – All Memorial Weekend long, you get to spectate two go-rounds from each horse performance class, four judges, and a $1000 VRH series! For anyone really into this stuff, the Jacksonville Equestrian Center is even hosting a taco dinner on Friday night if you want to share ideas and meet other like-minded folks. (Jacksonville Equestrian Center // 8am // $15)

Saturday, May 25th

Memorial Weekend Fish Fry – Wicked Barley Brewing is kicking off Memorial Day Weekend with a fish fry! Live music, special beer releases, and fried fish baskets! What a perfect Saturday you can spend on their outdoor patio with all your pals. You have all day to swing by between 11-11, so don’t miss it. (Wicked Barley Brewing // 11am – 11pm // Menu Costs)

Memorial Day Weekend at Ramona’s Flea Market – If you have been hearing any of those radio advertisements for Ramona’s Flea Market, it’s because this spot is LEGIT. The best is that any active duty veteran can get a seller space for only $5. So whether you’re selling or hunting for a deal, Ramona’s Flea Market should have PLENTY of activity this weekend. (Ramona’s Flea Market // 8am – 5pm // Bargain Shopping)

Jax is Rad 70s Party – Music, art, radness…Sound fun? This classic Jax is Rad 70s party that will feature a lot of Cherry Springer, Dark Horse Saloon, and Geexella, along with some live rad artists! Get the whole squad, deck yourselves out in 70s getup, and get ready to rock out. (Hoey Warehouse // 7-11:59 pm // $10-30)

Sunday, May 26th

Bottomless Mimosas – Well, honestly, there isn’t too much going on for the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend. So why not use it as an opportunity to party & celebrate with some bottomless mimosas? For only $10, you can enjoy all this goodness that The Garage has to offer, with the opportunity to even try out the outdoor patio! (The Garage // 11am – 7pm // $10)

Monday, May 27th Memorial Day!

Memorial Day Chaos Session – For all Bailey’s members AND non-members, there will be a complimentary Memorial Day Chaos Session at 9:30 am at the beach location for everyone looking to get their exercise in before they celebrate! Join in on the chaos and get ripped. (Bailey’s on Beach Blvd. // 9:30 am // Free

Memorial Day Murph Event – Workout, fundraiser, AND potluck? That’s right. The Memorial Day Murph Challenge is named in memory of L.T. Murphy, a Navy SEAL who was awarded the Medal of Honor. This event raises funds for a scholarship that aids veterans in paying for semester tuition and books. So come on out, do a little running, get in some push-ups, and enjoy your Memorial Day (don’t forget the food that’s after)! (B3 Gym // 9am //$45-60)

Memorial Concert in the Park – The Memorial Park Association is offering a FREE concert, featuring the Navy Band Southeast, on Memorial Day! (How many times can we say “Memorial”?) This boot stompin’ music starts a 5 pm, so bring a blanket and perhaps some food, as you jam out and have a good time. Don’t forget to wear red, white, and blue! (Memorial Park // 5 pm // Free)
