Our week is starting off with Halloween, so we know this week is about to be SPOOKTACULAR (get it??). For anybody looking to rage all week or just enjoy some trick or treat festivities, (we just can’t let the spirit of Halloween go quite yet.

Here’s what’s circled on our calendar this coming week:

Wednesday, October 31 HALLOWEEN

– With no cover, the Volstead dares you to “join us for this ghoulish affair.” Sounds pretty spooky, huh? Well, I know you’re rolling your eyes but there will be themed cocktails, a photo booth, and live music by DJ Mas Appeal at this Spookeasy Party. Party starts at 8!

– Want to win $100 CASH for the best costume? If you think you got what it takes, head to the Halloween Party at Grape and Grain Exchange. With drink specials and music from Josh Kemp, they are ready to give you a haunted night.

Thursday, November 1

– What was the inappropriate watermark on Dunder Mifflin’s paper? If you know the answer, you may already be prepared for The Office trivia at Lola’s Burrito and Burger Joint! We already know it’s the best show ever, but you’ll like it even more if you win a prize!

– Celebrating 40 years of the iconic Rumours album, Fleetwood Mac is performing the album note-for-note at The Florida Theatre in Jacksonville! Tickets are a steal and Fleetwood Mac is a legend, so bring your friends (or Mom, that’s cool too) and go!

Friday, November 2

– Back by POPULAR demand, Kerwin Claiborne is making you laugh your socks off with his live performances at the Comedy Club of Jacksonville! If you don’t know much about him, he is a social media star, known for posting some classic, humorous content for his 50,000+ followers!

– Okay people, let’s keep it classy…with some jazz. The Jazz Poetry Cafe is holding their Premiere Music & Poetry event from 7-10 PM. With a passion for music and spoken word poetry, their goal is to increase the level of literacy not only in Jacksonville but across the globe! Come enjoy yourself and support a great goal!

Saturday, November 3

– Going down all day starting at noon, Jacksonville PorchFest is a free event held in our quaint town of Springfield! With over 20 performers on 20 porches, the evening will follow with a concert in Klutho Park. You can enjoy 50 vendors with food and art, so come feel like a kid on your front porch.

– Spirits Under the Sun pairs of food, drink, and nature – What could be more relaxing? (I know you’re all thinking, ‘a massage’…). From 3-6 PM, the Jacksonville Arboretum & Gardens will be hosting this fundraising event with Jax’s top local restaurants. This festival will also feature desserts, coffees, local craft beers, liquors, and wines. What more do you need?!

Sunday, November 4

Holiday Arts Market – You all know you could use a new, fresh piece of decor. Come support your local community featuring handmade arts & crafts for purchase at the Holiday Arts market! This 4-hour shopping spree gives you a chance to find a perfect Christmas gift for your mom at Things Very Special in St. Aug! From 12-4 PM, this pet-friendly event is the place to be.

– You either love or hate Jameson. There is no in-between. But if you’re one of the oddballs that loves it, they will be celebrating game day with samples at Time Out Sports Bar from 1-3 PM! So if you need a good place to watch the game, with a shot of Jameson, don’t miss out.

Monday, November 5

– Going on all week, the Jacksonville Agricultural Fair has NOT ONLY amazing produce, but concerts (with super famous country artists), thrilling shows, and free rides! Whether it’s a circus, race cars, racing piggies, dangerous alligators, or blacksmithing, you have alllll the options your heart desires for a good time.

– Mondays can be a drag, but sometimes evening trivia can make your early week blues a bit better. Mellow Mushroom is offering their mellow vibes with some trivia at 7:30 PM. The topic is a secret but it’s free to play and there are cool prizes, so go win that (pizza) dough!

Tuesday, November 6

– I’ve said it before and I will say it again, theLOFT holds the dopest Karaoke Party around town! All night you can sing your heart out and get a free shot of fireball! Got the club going up on a Tuesday…9 PM, be there or be square.
